Why I Bought a Gun?

Ammo
There are many reasons why I bought my .300 Blackout and Whisper gun. Other than the recent violence that have been reported in the media, there were other reasons for my decision to get a gun for myself. So what are they? Read on to find out!

  •  I wanted to be the cool guy who owned a .300 Blackout and Whisper gun. Yes, that’s right. Not a very good reason, but it was mine nonetheless. From a very young age, I was fascinated by Beretta pistols but since I didn’t find any at the website I was looking at, I decided to buy this one for the pure oomph it offers!

  • I love taking part in cowboy action shooting in the country and have been doing so for the last many years. Though beretta pistols are greatfor this activity, any other gun too does quite well.

  • Protection of myself and my family was also another reason why I decided to buy a gun. Too much violence is the name of the game these days and I want something that will help me keep my family safe. So that’s why I bought a gun.

What is the difference between .300 blackout and whisper?

Ammo
There is a lot of consumer confusion when it comes to distinguish between .300 blackout and whisper. Are they same or different? Now, if anyone purchases a .300 Blackout, is it possible to use .300 Whisper with it safely? How about the .300 Whisper, is it safe to use .300 Blackout ammunition in it?

Two things are distinct for sure. A standard cartridge of SAAMI (Sporting Arms and Ammunition Manufacturers Institute) is .300 AAC Blackout whereas the CIP manufactured .300 Whisper as a standard cartridge. According to the rumors, .300 AAC Blackout is likely to become branded with CIP standards because CIP permits production of duplicate cartridges carrying different names, something SAAMI does not do. In 1963, Remington developed the .221 Fireball to be used in the XP-100 pistol.

It is not yet known that who took .221 Fireball up to .30 cal. Many believe it was mostly the popularity of metallic silhouette shooting at that time. Certain modifications to .221 will get a fit for the Berreta Pistols. In 1992, .300 Whisper was trademark-registered, documented and developed by J.D. Jones, and in 2009 Advanced Armament Corporation presented the fully developed .300 AAC Blackout to SAAMI.
